GSCE Results 2012


Students and staff at Ounsdale High School are celebrating following the publication of GCSE results. 86% of students gained 5 A*-C grades with 79% gaining A*-C in English and 60% achieving A*-C in Maths.

Headteacher Christine Brown said:

‘I am proud that the hard work, commitment and effort of students has been rewarded and am grateful to Staff, Governors and parents for their support in achieving these results. We are delighted and proud that Ounsdale students are now able to take up a wide range of challenging and exciting ‘A’ level and Further Education courses and look forward to following their future success.’

 

School’s Top Performer

Harry Hodgetts was the school’s top performer gaining 5A*, 4.5 A and 1 B grade.

Other outstanding individual performances included:

Shelby Fellows : 1A*, 9A and 1B grade
Miah Bates : 8.5A and 2B grades

Georgina Yorke: 3A*, 3,5A and 3B grades
Oliver Cartwright : 3A*, 3A and 3.5B grades
Amy Brown : 2A*, 5A and 2.5B grades
Richard Hall : 2A*, 5A and 2.5B grades

Students and staff at Ounsdale High School were celebrating following the publication of impressive A2 results.  99% of students passed their ‘A’ levels with 42% gaining A*, A or B grades.

There have been some outstanding individual student performances and we are delighted that as a result of their hard work and success Ounsdale students will be able to take up a wide range of challenging and exciting university courses.’

School’s Top Performer

Sam Dyehouse was the school’s top performer gaining an ‘A*’ in Maths, ‘A’ grades in Physics and Chemistry and an ‘A’ grade in AS Further Maths. Sam has a place at the University of Manchester to study Physics.
