Ounsdale High School has been involved in European Union funded educational projects since 2002 and over the last few years most students in the school have had the opportunity to work together with students in other European countries at least once, in a variety of different subject areas. These project used to be called Comenius Projects but they have now become Erasmus+ projects and we are currently working with schools in Germany, Finland, Sweden and Pershore in Worcestershire.
Our current project is called IConnecT and its main aim is to enhance our work in Modern Languages and Maths through research into innovative and creative teaching strategies, especially using ICT. Most of the work we do takes place in normal lessons, but a few students each year have the opportunity to travel to partner schools or work in Wombourne with students from overseas.
Our project is called IConnecT and the specific aim is the strategic improvement of achievement in Modern Foreign Languages and mathematics for all students through research into innovative and creative teaching strategies, especially using ICT. To support this work, we have received a substantial grant from the European Union.
