Second in Faculty: Mrs L Dean

Humanities and Enquiry – Humanities is the study of people and their relationship with the World; it includes the study of Geography, History and Religious Education. Geography allows students to understand the physical and human environment; History gives pupils an understanding of how the World came to be as it is; and R.E. makes them able to understand and question the beliefs that people hold regarding their World. Humanities is also the faculty where students will develop their enquiry skills, which are crucial in making students effective learners in the 21st century. Such skills include the ability to research, evaluate sources of information and discover things for themselves independently.
